Greetings from Vienna, #17

April 13th, 2004

Part the Seventeenth, Rest? What Rest?

Well, we didn't get as much rest as we thought we'd get during the Easter holiday week. While Karin taught make-up classes, I worked on the stables last Tuesday/Wednesday, and again yesterday and today (the 12th and 13th). As I am pressed for time, this will be the shortest newsletter to date (at least in terms of the amount of text). In lieu of my usual ramblings, I present some pictures, which will be further amplified on in newsletter #18.

Until then,
Tschüß

The Pictures

Here is me and my father-in-law with the percussion drill/hammer:

We met up with two of Karin's former students (who are sisters) and their family for a nice walk around the Cobenzl, just down the hill from Kahlenberg and Leopoldsberg. Karin got to let out her inner child:

This is from today (the 13th), where we spent most of our time punching a hole from the former straw room into the new great room. This will be for the built-in kitchen cabinet. The last picture is what I looked like after spending the better part of the morning drilling/jackhammering through the brick and concrete:
